Invitation to media - Minister Diane Lebouthillier to unveil Government of Canada financial support for 20 organizations in Gaspésie and Les Îles?de?la?Madeleine
LES ÎLES?DE?LA?MADELEINE, QUEBEC, May 2, 2024 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
The Honourable Diane Lebouthillier, Member of Parliament for Gaspésie?Les Îles?de?la?Madeleine and Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will announce Government of Canada financial support for 20 businesses, organizations, and communities in Gaspésie and Les Îles?de?la?Madeleine following the devastating passage of Hurricane Fiona.
In Gaspésie, four municipal administrations have received assistance through CED: the Ville de Gaspé, the Ville de Percé, the Ville de Carleton?sur?Mer, and the Ville de Chandler.
CED has also supported the projects of 16 organizations from Les Îles?de?la?Madeleine: the Municipalité des Îles?de?la?Madeleine, the Club nautique du Chenal, the Fabrique de la paroisse de Saint?Pierre-de?La Vernière, the Corporation de développement portuaire de la Baie du Cap?Vert, Moule du Large, Moules de culture des Îles, the Club nautique de Cap?aux?Meules, Bijoux Belle et Nathan, the Club vacances « Les Îles » ? Auberge la Salicorne, the Corporation du Parc de Gros?Cap, the Musée de la mer, Camping Le Barachois, Fille de la mer, savonnerie artisanale, Fruits de mer Madeleine, L'Anse aux herbes, and the Motel l'Archipel.
The announcement of these CED financial contributions will be made on behalf of the Honourable Soraya Martinez Ferrada, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for CED.
