Jonny Walker to Ride in Full Leatt Off-Road Apparel and Helmet

CAPE TOWN, South Africa, Jan. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leatt Corporation, known for the invention of the first-of-its kind Leatt-brace®, and whose range includes helmets, body protection, hydration packs, gloves, including a brand-new range of apparel unveiled in its 2017 product line, announced today that they would be sponsoring, off-road motorcycle enduro racer, Jonny Walker, for the 2017 season. Jonny becomes the first Extreme Enduro athlete to officially race in full Leatt apparel and helmet.

Jonny, who is one of the world's best performing Extreme Enduro racers, has earned notable winning results at events like Erzberg, Red Bull Romaniacs, Hell's Gate, Red Bull Sea to Sky, Red Bull Megawatt and many more.

He will now take on 2017 as part of the official Leatt family, wearing a Leatt helmet, gear, hydration and protection equipment.

"It's great for me to be teaming up with such a cool company like Leatt, which is pushing forward with the development of so many high-performance products," Jonny commented. "Extreme Enduro and SuperEnduro races are hugely different ? from six-minute indoor sprints to seriously difficult seven-hour days, knowing that Leatt has great products for all the different kinds of events and weather conditions I'll race in is hugely important. As a racer, lightweight, technical products that offer great protection as well as being super comfortable are exactly what you're looking for. With Leatt that's precisely what I have," he added.

Jonny will be wearing the new Leatt helmet which features the revolutionary safety of the 360° Turbine Technology as well as our stylish yet technical range of high performance off-road apparel.  Jonny has chosen to wear the Leatt hydration backpack, cleverly integrated and designed to keep him cool in all extreme situations. Together we aim to help him achieve his goals in the 2017 season.

Jonny has already earned a third place finish in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, wearing his new Leatt gear. Completing his participation in the SuperEnduro series, he will then turn his attentions to a full season of Extreme Enduro competition.

"We are very pleased that Jonny will join our family. As a talented, experienced rider, we can learn a lot from him. In the creation of our 2017 line, our team riders played an important role in driving our innovation and design efforts," CEO Sean Macdonald stated. "The new apparel range provides great brand exposure due to its high visibility and we expect to continue expanding our engineering and design intelligence beyond protection products as we explore new areas for improvement and expansion," Macdonald added.
