Updated Food Recall Warning (Allergen) - Ziyad brand Soup Starter Soup Base - Jameed recalled due to undeclared milk

OTTAWA, Feb. 28, 2017 /CNW/ - The food recall warning issued on February 24, 2017 has been updated to include additional distribution information. This additional information was identified during the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) food safety investigation.

Amira Entreprises Inc. is recalling Ziyad brand Soup Starter Soup Base ? Jameed, which is sold individually or in a combination pack with Chef's brand Premium Rice, from the marketplace because it contains milk which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled products described below.

The following products have been sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan, and may have been distributed in other provinces or territories.
