Benjamin Bridge Tidal Bay 2016 Product Update
WOLFVILLE, NS, July 4, 2017 /CNW/ - Benjamin Bridge has started to replenish retail store shelves with new stock of its Tidal Bay 2016 this week after asking its distributors to remove initial inventory on June 30. While there have been no customer reports of issues since its release in mid-March of this year, Benjamin Bridge identified that a very small portion of the bottles in its initial production visibly cracked while being stored in its warehouse. The issue does not affect the quality of the wine itself, which has received broad critical and popular support.
Of the more than 20,000 bottles in its storage, only seven bottles were found to be impacted. The product was available on store shelves in Nova Scotia with a handful of cases sold to customers in New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba.
"We take great pride in the quality of this 2016 Tidal Bay vintage by Benjamin Bridge and believe in transparency with our customers," said Ashley McConnell-Gordon, Vice-President, Benjamin Bridge. "We wanted to ensure we mitigate any customers' concerns by replacing the product on store shelves and giving customers the opportunity to refund or exchange if they'd like."
New Tidal Bay stock will be supplied to store shelves starting this week. Customers who still have bottles of Tidal Bay 2016 purchased between March 21, 2017 and June 30, 2017, may contact the winery directly for assistance at 902-697-229 or request a refund or exchange where the wine was purchased. Product purchased from July 3, 2017 onwards is from new stock.
