Tyto Robotics in Gatineau to pursue its marketing activities in Canada, the U.S. and Europe


Over $220,800 in financial assistance from the governments of Canada and Quebec for this Outaouais?region high-tech company 

GATINEAU, QC, Sept. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - The governments of Canada and Quebec have granted $220,860 in funding to Gatineau-based Tyto Robotics Inc. for the marketing of the company's instrumentation systems in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

William Amos, federal MP for Pontiac, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister Responsible for CED, along with provincial MNA Maryse Gaudreault (Hull), made the announcement today.

The federal contribution of $172,810 was provided by Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) and through the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). The Quebec government's contribution of $48,050 was granted through the Programme Exportation of the Ministère de l'Économie, de la Science et de l'Innovation (MESI). The project is also receiving funding through the InnoExport investment fund.

Founded in 2014, Tyto Robotics is an innovative business specializing in the design and sale of instruments that test the performance of the motors of drones and other remote-controlled objects. The funding will allow the company to present itself in target markets, hire a marketing resource, attend specialized trade shows, conduct advertising and promotional activities, become a member of various associations and have its products certified.

The project will create two jobs, in addition to the five people who already work for the company.
