Commissioner of Canada Elections Announces the Laying of Canada Elections Act Charges
GATINEAU, QC, Sept. 26, 2017 /CNW/ - The Commissioner of Canada Elections, Mr. Yves Côté, has announced that two individuals have been charged under the Canada Elections Act, as requested by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A charge was jointly laid against Ms. Clara Robyn Suraski and Ms. Lauren Bayla Suraski for having requested another ballot after already having voted.
Two charges have been laid against Ms. Clara Robyn Suraski for offences related to applying to be included on a list of electors.
Two charges have also been laid against Ms. Lauren Bayla Suraski for offences related to applying to be included on a list of electors.
The events leading to these charges took place during the election period for the 42nd general election, which was held in October 2015.
