Media Advisory - Dominic Leblanc, Marc Garneau, and Jonathan Wilkinson to Speak at the Southern Resident Killer Whale Symposium


VANCOUVER, Oct. 10, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, and Jonathan Wilkinson, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will be delivering remarks at the Southern Resident Killer Whale Symposium to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia from October 11 to 12, 2017.

The Southern Resident Killer Whale Symposium brings together scientists, industry stakeholders, Indigenous groups and government officials to better understand the complex issues and shared responsibilities associated with the protection and recovery of the Southern Resident Killer Whale and develop actions going forward.

Following their respective speeches, Minister LeBlanc, Minister Garneau and Parliamentary Secretary Wilkinson will be available to answer questions from the media.
