Department of Veterans Affairs Selects Zenoss

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Zenoss Inc., the leader in Software-Defined IT Operationstm, today announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Cyber Security (OCS) has selected Zenoss Service Dynamics to provide holistic health and performance insights for all hardware and software hosted within the Cyber Security Hosted Services (CSHS)?managed OCS enclaves.

Based in West Virginia, CSHS provides operations management, platform hosting, support, performance tuning and disaster recovery functionality for the OCS platforms located in "lights-out" data centers in northern Virginia and Chicago. The CSHS contract with the OCS specifies a 5-minute response time for required actions within the OCS hosted services infrastructure during normal business hours and a 30-minute response after-hours and holidays. 

The OCS platforms provide the architecture for the department's Enterprise Visibility and Vulnerability Management platform supporting IBM BigFix and the OCS Executive Dashboard. This is built on the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence suite as well as the VA Governance, Risk and Compliance tool and Threat and Vulnerability Management program, big data, and top-level Department of Homeland Security Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program applications.

The CSHS team, which has been a Zenoss Core customer for three years, has now migrated to Zenoss Service Dynamics and is in the tuning process required to meet additional requirements of the OCS contract.
