Farmers Insurance® Supports San Diego Armed Services YMCA

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance^®, an organization founded by two World War I veterans in 1928, today volunteered to support active duty military personnel and their families at the Armed Services YMCA in San Diego. Farmers^® executives, employees, agents and district managers participated in the annual Neighborhood Food Exchange to help provide local military families with food and supplies for their families.

In addition to their volunteer support, Farmers Insurance along with their Board of Governors presented a donation of $20,000 to help support the San Diego Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA).

"Working with the San Diego Armed Services YMCA as part of our work with the Farmers Insurance Open's^® Champions for Youth Program allows Farmers to do something for military families."

Founded in 1920 as a national affiliate of the YMCA, the ASYMCA's mission is to enhance the lives of service members and their families in mind, body and spirit. Through programs and services that are relevant to the unique challenges of military life, the ASYMCA strengthens the military community with year-round programs.
