Governor General of Canada to visit Chicago and Detroit
OTTAWA, April 23, 2018 /CNW/ - The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will travel to Chicago and Detroit, from April 26 to 27, 2018.
During the visit, the Governor General will meet with scientists, as well as with business and political leaders, to reinforce the strong economic relationship between Canada and the United States.
The Governor General will speak at several events to highlight the importance of working together to advance science, technology, and innovation. She will also cheer on Canadian teams competing at the FIRST Championship ? an event that inspires young people to build STEM and digital-literacy skills, and become science and technology leaders.
