Veterans Affairs Canada now accepting applications for new Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund

Funding available for organizations with innovative ideas that will improve the well-being of Veterans and their families.

OTTAWA, May 4, 2018 /CNW/ - Research and innovation is vital to improving the well-being of Veterans and their families. This is why the Government of Canada is investing $12 million over the next four years in the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund. Announced in Budget 2017, the Fund will support research, projects and initiatives that will have a positive and lasting impact on the Veteran community.

The fund will provide grants and contributions to private, public or academic organizations to conduct research and implement initiatives and projects that support the well-being of Veterans and their families.

Today, Veterans Affairs Canada launched the first call for applications for the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund. Organizations are invited to share their innovative ideas and encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible online.

The deadline to submit an application for 2018 is June 15.

The fund can support a wide range of projects, such as suicide prevention research, an initiative that helps homeless Veterans find housing, or any innovative projects that contribute to the well-being of Veterans and their families. Whatever it may be, we encourage you to share your idea and apply to the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund.
