Ardagh Group Glass Facility Achieves ISO 14001:2015 Certification

INDIANAPOLIS, July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ardagh Group, Glass ? North America, a division of Ardagh Group, today announced that its Dolton, Ill., facility achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification.

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognized standard for the environmental management of businesses, providing the framework to help organizations minimize their impact on the environment, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and work toward continual environmental improvement.

"The ISO 14001 certification is a remarkable accomplishment for our Dolton facility," said Thomas Maiberger, Plant Manager for Ardagh Group Dolton. "This certification illustrates Ardagh Group's commitment to environmental compliance in our manufacturing operations, resulting in more sustainable and efficient operations."

Now, all 14 of Ardagh Group's glass manufacturing facilities in North America are ISO 14001 certified, making Ardagh an environmental leader in the packaging industry.

In addition to Dolton's ISO 14001:2015 certification, the facility was honored as Cook County Manufacturer of the Year in 2016 by the Alliance for Industry and Manufacturing. The award recognized Dolton's reputation for leadership and involvement in the manufacturing industry, its focus on technology and innovation, as well as its commitment to the local community.

Ardagh Group's Dolton facility was built in 1954 and manufactures glass containers for the food and spirits markets. Today, the facility employs approximately 440 people.
