Conn's HomePlus Helps Three Families Still Recovering from Hurricane Harvey with $18,000 in Home Furnishings and Appliances

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Oct. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A year after the devastating effects of hurricane Harvey, some Houston families are still working towards recovery. Houston-based specialty retailer Conn Appliances, Inc. (NASDAQ: CONN) empathizes with the ongoing needs of affected families. In an effort to continue to show support, the company donated, delivered and installed nearly $18,000 in home furnishings and appliances, including more than $5,000 of product provided by Samsung. The donation to assist three Independence Heights families was facilitated through Conn's Cares, the retailer's charitable arm, which has given $500,000 over the last year to those affected by Harvey, after matching collected public funds.*

Conn's HomePlus, a specialty retailer of furniture, mattresses, home appliances and consumer electronics, is committed to philanthropic initiatives in Houston, as more than 660 employees call the city home. Working directly with each family to determine specific needs, Conn's HomePlus created a custom package to help the families put the finishing touches on their refurbished homes. Members of the Conn's HomePlus executive, corporate and local store teams, as well as Rebuilding Together Houston and Entercom were present for the deliveries.
