Polysleep Launches VETS Canada Fundraising Campaign

The Canadian Brand Works with National Grassroots Organization to Raise Funds

MONTREAL, Nov. 1, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Polysleep, a leading Canadian hybrid foam mattress innovator, launches today the VETS Canada Fundraising Campaign, #polysleepforpeace. The initiative uses the grassroots ethos of the non-profit organization and the power of everyday people to raise vital funds and awareness for Veterans in crisis.

Veterans Emergency Transition Services Canada (VETS Canada), a national volunteer-driven charity, is the largest 24/7 Canadian organization dedicated to addressing the emergency needs of homeless and in-crisis Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP. Its hundreds of volunteers, primarily Veterans or still-serving members, have relied on a unique model of peer-support to provide life-saving aid in response to thousands of requests for assistance since 2010. VETS Canada runs on the belief that those who served to protect our homes should never be without one. Learn more at www.VETSCanada.org.

For every photo posted of someone enjoying the comfort of their bed with the hashtag #polysleepforpeace on Instagram, Polysleep will donate 1$ to VETS Canada. The initiative is rooted in Polysleep's belief in the power of individuals to affect change, and the company's hope is to not only raise funds but awareness about this important cause.

"With the VETS Canada Fundraising Campaign, we're committed to raising money and visibility for a pressing issue that is not nearly talked about enough," says Jeremiah Curvers, co-founder of Polysleep. "It is heartbreaking that any of our Veterans find themselves in a state of homelessness or disenfranchisement, and we're proud to work with VETS Canada, an organization that ensures their smooth return to civilian life."

The campaign runs up until and including Remembrance Day, a time to reflect not only on Canadian lives lost, but on lives that can be saved, through VETS Canada's aid to disenfranchised Veterans. It is Polysleep's hope to amplify the latter with this campaign, and to transmit a sentiment of proactivity and hope.

"This campaign is wonderful in so many ways," says Jim Lowther, VETS Canada CEO/President. "Canadians get to enjoy the comforts of their beds and their daily lives because of the past and ongoing sacrifices of our Veterans. It's time for us to give back to those who served; to support Veterans in need."

"Polysleep believes in the power of everyday people," says Curver. "With the help of our customers and friends, we believe that we will be able to raise much-needed awareness and necessary funds for VETS Canada."
