Warrior to Cyber Warrior (W2CW) Gives Back on Veterans Day: Free Cyber Training and Certifications for Vets and Active Duty Military

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Veterans Day, the non-profit Warrior to Cyber Warrior (W2CW) Foundation today announced a nationwide program to provide Veterans of the US Armed Forces with free cybersecurity training and certifications. This program builds on the success of W2CW's 2016 and 2017 Veterans Day certification offers. It also renews the W2CW initiative to provide access to free online training that equips Veterans with the skills they need to thrive as cyber professionals.

Made possible through a generous donation from the Lunarline School of Cybersecurity (SCS), this nationwide cybersecurity training and certification offer has two components.

First, SCS guarantees that at least 20% of the seats in every course they sell will be set aside for Veterans and Active Duty Military to attend, free of charge. SCS's courses span the spectrum of cybersecurity to equip you with the skills you need to navigate an evermore threatening cyber landscape. Interested Veterans should email an expression of interest to our sponsor company Lunarline-SCS at [email protected] to be put on the waiting list for course registration.

Second, all Veterans and Active Duty Military are entitled to take one Cyber Certified Expert (CCE) certification exam free of charge and, upon successful completion, automatically receive their first annual fee waived. The CCE program offers nearly three dozen certifications covering every conceivable cyber discipline. Eligible participants can take advantage of one free exam pass each year the nationwide program is offered. To register for a free certification simply visit the SCS website and follow the instructions provided for Veterans and Active Duty Military.

"As a service disabled Veteran I've watched many of my fellow service men and women struggle to make the transition to civilian life," said W2CW founding Board Member Waylon Krush. "We started W2CW to help Veterans secure high paying cyber careers. With this initiative we hope to extend our training and certifications to all Veterans and Active Duty Military and expand the ranks of cyber warriors who have the skills needed to fight back against modern cybercrime."

About W2CW: Lunarline ? a leading provider of cyber security services, products, training, and certifications ? invested an entire year of corporate profits to stand up W2CW. W2CW equips returning Veterans, or if a Veteran is physically unable to support their families, their spouses, with valuable cybersecurity skills and certifications. W2CW students have graduated to senior positions at the White House, within the DoD and Federal Civilian communities, and across the Fortune 500.
