HonorBound Foundation Receives "2018 Top-Rated Nonprofit" Recognition

DARIEN, Conn., Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- HonorBound Foundation has been named a "2018 Top-Rated Nonprofit" by the organization GreatNonprofits, a leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits. This is the second consecutive year HonorBound Foundation has received this recognition.

HonorBound provides urgent financial support to veterans throughout the United States who are trying to rebuild their lives but are facing an unexpected expense that could develop into a crisis if not immediately addressed.

"It's an honor to be recognized for the critical work we do," said HonorBound Executive Director Phil Kraft. "What we do one time, lasts a lifetime. We are proud of our accomplishments this year and the financial help we have been able to provide to so many deserving veterans and organizations that support those veterans across the country."

GreatNonprofits' top-rated award is based on the ratings and reviews HonorBound receives from volunteers and social workers. For example, a case worker at the Veterans Affairs Homeless Program in Kansas gave HonorBound a five-star rating and wrote the following review, "There are many veterans I work with who would be homeless right if not for the assistance of HonorBound. Thank you to this amazing agency and all those who donate to such a great cause."

"HonorBound is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community," said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. "Their award is a well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with HonorBound."

GreatNonprofits is a leading website where people can share stories about personal interaction with charities and nonprofits.
