Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) announced its support of Warrior Reunion Foundation (WRF), which is dedicated to reuniting veterans and bringing together servicemembers and Gold Star Families during retreats focused on reconnection and healing.

"The spirit of camaraderie and fellowship that warriors experience during their military service is hard to replicate in civilian life," said René Bardorf, WWP senior vice president of government and community affairs. "We understand how important these connections are to servicemembers and veterans, and we know firsthand how important peer-to-peer support is for warriors as they transition out of the military. That's why we're proud to support Warrior Reunion Foundation's efforts to build community, increase resilience, and reduce isolation."

"My return home from war was not complete until I had the opportunity to reunite with my brothers in arms," said James Ferguson, CEO and Founder of Warrior Reunion Foundation. "From that experience, Warrior Reunion Foundation was born. We are honored to partner with Wounded Warrior Project to ensure more combat veterans have the opportunity to reunite, remember, and recover together. This ability to help us connect combat veterans with actionable resources will take our reunions to a whole new level, and I am extremely grateful for this exciting new partnership."

Boulder Crest, an innovative nonprofit that designed and delivers the first ever programs designed to cultivate and facilitate posttraumatic growth for veterans managing post-traumatic stress disorder and combat stress, is working with WRF to host these events at its facilities. Since 2012, WWP has partnered with over 120 organizations involved in the care of America's military community by providing more than $74 million in grants.
