Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Issues Authority to Operate (ATO) for Diameter Health's Data Quality Technology

FARMINGTON, Conn., Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Diameter Health, the leader in clinical data normalization and enrichment, and Four Points Technology LLC has been issued a Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) High General Support System Authority to Operate (ATO) for Diameter Health's Analyze Data Quality Tool. This validation of a secure environment is mandatory for the VA because of their work with confidential patient data. Protecting this data is critical to making a difference for Veterans. The FISMA High ATO for Diameter Health will enable the VA to securely analyze patient data to support their mission of serving the men and women who are America's Veterans. Diameter Health and Four Points Technology received the original award for clinical data quality surveillance from the VA in May 2017.

"We are honored to have teamed with the VA on their mission to make a positive difference for Veterans. Receiving the VA's Authority to Operate is a significant step in our relationship and validates the company's ability to process the most sensitive clinical data, at scale, in the most exacting of computing environments. We are dedicated to continuing our partnership with the VA to improve Veterans' quality of care," said Eric Rosow, CEO, Diameter Health.

Healthcare requires clean clinical data to improve patient care, reduce the cost of care delivery and address care quality improvement. Diameter Health solves this data challenge by fusing unique technology with industry interoperability standards to provide deep clinical insight. The company's proprietary technology uses hundreds of deterministic rules, as well as targeted natural language processing (NLP) to process both machine-readable data and elements of free text at scale. The VA's Data Quality Tool utilizes Diameter Health's Analyze solution to assess the completeness and quality of multi-sourced clinical data and translate it into actionable insight.

"The strength of the Four Points Program team, technical team members and our partnership with Diameter Health and our customer the VA has allowed us together to move forward in support of our US Veteran service members to gain better quality health care for their most urgent needs. We are pleased to have formalized the Authority to Operate and quickly enable the key clinical data access most urgently needed for our customer, the VA clinicians." stated David Gilchrist, President and CEO of Four Points Technology.

With the ATO now in place, Diameter Health and Four Points Technology will be accelerating and expanding their work with the VA to deliver more complete and actionable clinical data. Along with the company's ATO authorization, Diameter Health technology is certified by both the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Healthcare IT (ONC). In addition to the VA, customers include health plans, health information exchanges, accountable care organizations and health systems that require longitudinal structured patient information to support quality reporting and population health analytics.
