"We are proud to partner with the Fisher House Foundation again this year to help provide a delicious meal for veterans, service members and their families to celebrate together," said Stephanie Postma, Hormel® Cure 81® brand manager. "This is the sixth year that we have been able to donate care packages to Fisher Houses across the country. We know that the dinner table allows families and friends to gather together, build connections and find comfort, and are thrilled to help be a part of their holiday celebration."

The donation, totaling more than 6,000 pounds, was packed by members of the Hormel Military Veterans Engagement Team (HMVET) and included the following Hormel Foods products: Hormel® Cure 81® boneless ham, Jennie-O® oven ready turkey breast, Hormel® Black Label® bacon, Hormel® Natural Choice ® bacon, Jennie-O ® turkey bacon, Hormel Gatherings® party trays, Hormel® homestyle mashed potatoes, Hormel® cinnamon apples, SKIPPY® peanut butter and SPAM® classic.

"Fisher Houses are built on partnerships.  And partnership begins with community," said Dave Coker, president of Fisher House Foundation.  "My deepest thanks to Hormel Foods for your kind donation of Easter dinners to Fisher Houses across the country. It's what we do together that makes the greatest impact.  Thank you for being part of that solution and your support to our military, veterans and their families."

The Fisher House program provides "a home away from home" for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes provide temporary free lodging, so families can be close to their loved ones during a medical crisis. Hormel Foods was the first company to donate food on a national basis and this year marks the sixth consecutive year of the partnership.
