Port of Quebec Deep-Water Wharf Project - Beauport Sector - Public Comments Invited


OTTAWA, May 29, 2019 /CNW/ - The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) is conducting a federal environmental assessment for the proposed Port of Quebec Deep-Water Wharf Project ? Beauport Sector, located in Quebec.

Since the previous public consultation period on the proponent's Environmental Impact Statement held from January 4, 2017 to February 10, 2017, the Agency has received updates on the proposed project.

Therefore, the Agency invites the public and Indigenous peoples to comment on the project's potential environmental effects and on the proposed measures to prevent or mitigate those effects, as described in the proponent's summary of updates to the project and to the Environmental Impact Statement.

All comments received will be considered public. Written comments in either official language must be submitted by June 28, 2019 to:

As a next step, the Agency will prepare the draft Environmental Assessment Report and the potential environmental assessment conditions set out as part of the environmental assessment. The public and Indigenous peoples will be invited to comment on these documents during a final public comment period on this project.
