Quinte Community Sets Official Guinness World Recordtm Title Today for the Largest Human Maple Leaf in Support of Canadian Armed Forces Charity "Soldier On"
TRENTON, ON, June 29, 2019 /CNW/ - Today, members of the Quinte West community set a new Guinness World Recordtm title for the largest human maple leaf. A total of 3,942 people participated in "Operation: Stand Proud" presented by Leon's Trenton at Centennial Park in support of The Canadian Armed Forces charity, Soldier On, and as a sincere show of appreciation for the men, women and families who have dedicated their lives to serving Canada as a country.
"We are extremely proud of our deep military roots here in Quinte West," says Mike Eden, Owner of Leon's Trenton and organizer of the Guinness World Recordtm attempt. "We saw this patriotic opportunity to set the Guinness World Recordtm for the largest human maple leaf on the Canada Day long weekend as a visual representation of our deep respect and sincere gratitude for those who selflessly serve, as well as their supportive families. We're so proud to have made this dream a reality here today and to have shone a spotlight on our Canadian Armed Forces and Soldier On."
An official Guinness World Recordtm representative was onsite at Centennial Park to verify the number of participants and to announce the new record title.
