EARTHQUAKE! American Humane Rescue Team Offers Tips to Keep Pets Safe Before, During and After Earthquakes


WASHINGTON, July 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Following two powerful earthquakes that rocked the west coast and warnings by geologists of possible significant aftershocks to come, disaster relief experts from American Humane, the country's first national humane organization, and its American Humane Rescue team are reminding people that, in addition to preparing for their families' physical safety, we need to pay close attention to the emotional aftershocks such phenomena can have on pets.

Here are some important tips from American Humane President and CEO Robin Ganzert, PhD, to keep pets safe before, during, and after an earthquake and its aftershocks:
