Wounded Warrior Project Backs Education Resource Programs for Children
WASHINGTON, Aug. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) announced a new grant in support of Military Child Education Coalition® (MCEC), an organization working to ensure inclusive, quality educational opportunities for all military-connected children affected by mobility, transition, deployments, and family separation.
This grant of $150,000 will sustain the Student 2 Student program and Parent to Parent workshops for students and parents in Colorado Springs area schools.
"The children of wounded warriors face unique challenges," said WWP CEO Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Mike Linnington. "We're proud to support Military Child Education Coalition and the work they're doing to equip military-connected parents and children with the academic environment, knowledge, resources and tools to thrive in their communities.
