Kansas City REALTOR® Mark Solomon Acknowledged for Life-Changing Volunteer Work

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The altruistic National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) award honors REALTORS®, such as Solomon, who make the world a better place through extraordinary volunteer work. Solomon was nominated for his work with the Veterans Community Project, which houses homeless veterans.

"The impact we've had, it's really very humbling, truthfully. We started this as an idea on a napkin and now we are expanding nationwide. We are beyond blessed to have the opportunity to help our brothers and sisters come back and have the home they deserve," said Solomon, co-founder of the Veterans Community Project and a veteran of the United States Navy.

The Veterans Community Project (VCP) provides housing and walk-in support services for vets, serving everyone who took the oath to serve America. Its VCP Village is a specialized community of tiny homes combined with wrap-around, onsite services to get homeless vets off the street and transition them to permanent housing.

Solomon, of veteran-owned Solomon Real Estate Group, was also recently interviewed on SoundCloud about his Good Neighbor nomination and the VCP. "The Good Neighbor Award honors REALTORS® who are paying it forward in the community and I'm honored to be in the company of these folks," stated Solomon in the interview. "It's not just about selling houses; it's really what we're doing to improve the communities we work and live in." As for the VCP, "For the homeless vets we put in our houses, the thing we really wanted to do is be able to provide housing with dignity."
