In Compliance with Governor Whitmer's Executive Order, MISS DIG 811 Reminds Michigan Residents to Postpone Non-Essential Digging Projects


DETROIT, March 26, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- MISS DIG 811 reminds Michigan residents to postpone all non-essential digging projects as a result of Governor Whitmer's executive order. MISS DIG 811 is a Michigan non-profit corporation that operates as the underground utility safety notification system for the entire state.

By law, Michigan residents are required to always practice safe digging by placing tickets marking underground utility lines.

MISS DIG 811 asks for the public's assistance in supporting the State of Michigan during the stay-at-home order from Governor Whitmer and postponing all non-essential digging projects until further notice. Non-essential digging projects include all gardening, landscaping and any DIY projects.
