Change in Format of 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders of Six Flags


Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX), the world's largest regional theme park company and the largest operator of waterparks in North America, today announced that, due to public health and safety concerns related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the company will hold its 2020 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") in a virtual meeting format only. To protect the well-being of the company's directors, employees, stockholders and other stakeholders, the company will not hold an in-person meeting.

As previously announced, the company's Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Stockholders of record of the company's common stock as of the close of business on March 11, 2020, are entitled to attend the Annual Meeting. To be admitted to the Annual Meeting at www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/SIX2020, stockholders must enter the control number found on the proxy card or notice of availability of proxy materials previously received. Further information regarding this change to the location of the Annual Meeting can be found in the proxy supplement filed by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 13, 2020.

Stockholders are encouraged to vote in advance of the Annual Meeting and, given the circumstances relating to COVID-19, return their proxies by telephone or the internet, as described in the proxy materials for the Annual Meeting.
