Martin Sheen and Dan Rather join documentary film: MIA: Stories of the Vietnam War Bracelet

NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MIA: Stories of the Vietnam War Bracelet will tell the stories of the Missing In Action Vietnam Veterans from the perspectives of their immediate family members who suffered and the people who wear their POW/MIA memorial bracelets. As the film looks for additional funding, Martin Sheen and Dan Rather have signed on as narrator and executive producer, respectively.

Sheen, most widely known for his leading role in the 1979 Vietnam War picture Apocalypse Now, said "Sometimes the worthiest projects take the longest time and demand the greatest effort. I would be honored to narrate this film."

Rather knows first-hand the toll of the Vietnam war from his time embedded with the troops from 1965 to 1966 as a war correspondent for CBS News. He will bring this unique perspective to this important project.

"The current death rate for Vietnam Veterans like myself is 350 a day," said Mark Kucharski, CEO of the Dayton, Ohio-based Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park. "Time is growing short to tell this important story and we're proud to be among the organizations helping to fund this film."

"We want to help America keep its promise to never forget our Missing in Action soldiers," said Peggy Kennedy, Producer. The film requires $300,000 to complete production. A brief portion of the first interview is here: https://www.miabraceletmovie.com/video

Kenton Corporation, the film's production company, has already co-produced a documentary Miamisburg: The One and Only which aired on regional public television in addition to developing concepts for a reality TV/game show and an online interactive soap opera.
