Hero cop who saved DoorDash Driver attacked by carjacking suspect while her children were in the car, given InVest USA Heroism Award, says InVest USA CEO, Michael Letts

COLUMBIA, S.C., Jan. 24, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Michael Letts, CEO of InVestUSA, announced that his organization is bestowing the InVest USA Heroism Award unto a Milwaukee police officer in recognition of valor demonstrated by intervening to save the life of a mother of three, whose DoorDash delivery vehicle was reportedly being carjacked while her children were in the back seat of the car.

Michael Letts said, "This Milwaukee Police officer exhibited the courage and dedication serving and protecting the public that makes America proud of our First Responders. InVestUSA is honored to recognize such bravery above and beyond the call of duty with the InVestUSA Heroism Award. And speaking of duty, this hero was not even on duty at the time. This officer could have said it was not his job and looked the other way. Instead, this hero intervened and took a bullet in the stomach in the process of saving a mother and her three children."

WISN TV-12 in Milwaukee reported that police arrested two suspects. The identities of the police officer and the mother are being kept private for the time being. Reference story: https://www.wbtv.com/2022/01/17/off-duty-officer-saves-delivery-driver-attacked-by-carjacking-suspect/
