Egyptian-American author Cynthia Farahat Exposes the Muslim Brotherhood as Terror Organization in New Book

Farahat, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, has survived an assassination attempt by the Muslim Brotherhood and Stage Three Inflammatory Breast Cancer, but the counterterrorism expert won't stop speaking out against the Brotherhood's ongoing covert and overt terror operations.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 27, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cynthia Farahat is an Egyptian-American scholar and dissident who has dedicated her life to learning about Islamism and exposing the Muslim Brotherhood and the world's jihadist incubator; her book "The Secret Apparatus: The Muslim Brotherhood's Industry of Death" is out today.

This book fulfills two promises that Farahat made: the first, to her friend who was murdered during her own failed assassination attempt; and the second, to a Muslim Brotherhood military officer who threatened her life -- that she would expose their group even if she had to do so from beyond the grave.

Writing the book almost did kill her. During this journey Farahat lost the ability to speak, walk, swallow, and at times breathe on her own during numerous hospitalizations while battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Her MS was violently aggressive while undergoing invasive treatment for stage three Inflammatory Breast Cancer during the four years it took to write the book, but she would not give up her fight to bring down the world's most intricate jihadist enterprise. Farahat also suffers from transposition dyslexia.

Farahat grew up in Egypt where she earned the ire of the Muslim Brotherhood by refusing to follow the status quo. Rather than fulfill the expectations of a young woman in a Muslim country, Farahat took to studying Islamic jurisprudence and history to better understand why there were limitations placed on her. She became politically active and co-founded the Liberal Egyptian Party which advocated for peace with Israel, capitalism, and secularism. She also co-authored the Arabic-language book "Desecration of a Heavenly Religion" which was banned by Egypt's largest university for its criticism of Egypt's blasphemy law.

Farahat was then banned from Lebanon and landed on the hit list of an al-Qaeda-affiliated group in Egypt. After her brother was tortured and her friend, the late classic liberal human rights dissident Michael Mosaad, was murdered by Islamists in President Hosni Mubarak's regime, Farahat received a call from Muslim Brotherhood leader and former Member of Parliament, Subhy Saleh, threatening her life.

Farahat fled Egypt and was granted political asylum and immigrated to the United States in 2011. She has since testified before the U.S. House of Representatives, briefed more than two hundred congressional offices, and advised several intelligence and law enforcement agencies. Her work has been published in numerous national and international publications and has been translated into more than fifteen languages.

Farahat accessed thousands of Islamist texts to cull the relevant information needed to expose the Muslim Brotherhood's campaign of terror. She quotes Brotherhood leaders and relies on their own documents and memorandums to prove her case with the hope that the U.S. Congress will pass legislation to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

The Secret Apparatus: The Muslim Brotherhood's Industry of Death by Cynthia Farahat is published by Bombardier Books, an imprint of Post Hill Press, and available now online and in bookstores.
