Human Factors and Ergonomics Society 66th International Annual Meeting to Feature More than 500 Technical Topics


On October 10-14, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) will convene its 66th International Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The conference will bring together more than 1,200 individuals from around the world for the premier educational activity organized by the HFES with more than 500 technical topics on best practices, effective policies, and emerging trends in human factors and ergonomics.

"Whether we realize it or not, human factors and ergonomics touch almost every facet of the modern human experience," said Christopher R. Reid, president of HFES. "It ensures that everything from simple tools to tomorrow's technologies are designed and adapted to foster safety, comfort, usability and convenience for human users. The topics covered at this year's conference will include how humans, robots, and artificial intelligence can work together, the symbiotic relationship between pilots and aircraft designers, how human factors can impact the future of disease infection, prevention and control and hundreds of other topics."

The annual meeting will feature more than 130 concurrent sessions, plus interactive posters and demos, Fellows posters, User Experience Day, and a Student Career and Professional Development day. Attendees will learn about the latest, cutting-edge research and practice solutions from 26 technical areas. The conference will also include a career fair, exhibition hall, Technical Group meetings and socials, receptions, and many other networking opportunities.

The conference will also include User Experience (UX) Day, which will feature a dedicated track of speaking and events specifically geared for UX professionals. The objective of UX day is to deliver a progressive program of technical sessions and networking opportunities for all attendees. Directly following the annual meeting will be the highly anticipated HFES 2022 ErgoX Symposium on October 14 and 15, also at the Marriott Marquis Hotel. The aim is to improve the safety and effectiveness of technology for human users and integration into daily life.
