ActivTrak Productivity Lab: Employees Are More Productive, But More than One Third Still Face Risk of Burnout

The ActivTrak Productivity Lab today announced benchmark data for the third quarter revealing that year-over-year productive time improved by six minutes per day per employee, and more than one million hours overall.

The Productivity Lab analyzed 17.8 million hours from 56,910 anonymized users on ActivTrak's workforce analytics platform between Jan. 1-Sept. 30, 2022 to understand employees' digital work day activities and habits. Other findings include:

"At a time when there are concerns of quiet quitting and declining workforce productivity levels eroding the economy, our findings reveal an uptick in daily productive time, employee engagement and healthy work levels," said Gabriela Mauch, vice president of customer experience & Productivity Lab at ActivTrak. "Despite these improvements, many employees remain overutilized and face the risk of burnout. When managing and leading teams, it's important to spot signs of overload, engage in regular conversations with employees and rebalance workloads to achieve sustainable and healthy levels of productivity."

In Q1 2023, the Productivity Lab will release its annual update on the State of the Workplace. Click here to add your name to the list and receive a copy when the report goes live.
