University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies Hosts Record Number of Attendees at Knowledge Without Boundaries Summit

University of Phoenix College of Doctoral Studies welcomed more than 560 attendees, the largest number to date, during the annual Knowledge Without Boundaries Summit, held October 13-15, 2022. The virtual research event, titled "Moving Forward: Bridging the Gap Between Practice, Belonging, and Community," served as a forum for evolving research around pivotal issues, while also rebuilding and fostering strategic intent based on world events. Participants examined research and innovative practices contained in education and technology, diversity and inclusion, along with leadership and organizational change.

"The Knowledge Without Boundaries Summit welcomed 280 students this year, our largest student demographic to date," states Hinrich Eylers, Ph.D., P.E., vice provost, College of Doctoral Studies. "Our intent was to make the event inclusive of our student population by emphasizing the Dissertation of the Year awards and featuring a student presenter day. Many of our students were excited to take part, and to try their hand at professional academic presenting in preparation for the professional conference circuit."

Eylers added that while most participants hailed from the United States, this year's event attracted attendees from around the world, including the Bahamas, Canada, Croatia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Oman, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Kingdom.

The Summit is an effort of the Research and Scholarship Enterprise (RSE) and the College of Doctoral Studies to enlighten communities through the efforts of a research perspective that amplifies practice-based potential in applying theory to real-time issues.
