1VALET Granted Significant Patents for Package Scanning Technology

Leading smart building platform provider 1VALET announced today that it has been granted patents by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the scanning-based courier access technology used in their proprietary building intercom system.

The CIPO has granted 1VALET patent number 3,090,269 entitled "Method and system for access to a secured building." The Canadian patent was issued on July 20th, 2021, with an original priority filing date of May 24th, 2019. The patent broadly describes the barcode scanning technology utilized in their Canadian-made intercom system to facilitate package courier entry into 1VALET-powered apartment buildings and condominiums.

1VALET was granted US patent (No. 11,450,194) by the USPTO for the same technology on September 20th, 2022, after filing the patent application in early spring 2021.
