Werner Associate Named a 2023 Heavy Duty Trucking Emerging Leader


Werner Enterprises (Nasdaq: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, announces Caty Simandl, operations supervisor, was selected as a 2023 recipient of Heavy Duty Trucking's Emerging Leaders award.

As operations supervisor, Simandl coaches a team of dedicated logistics managers, leads strategy and manages relationships with clients, and ensures customer satisfaction by building custom freight solutions. Simandl leads by example through her active involvement in several of Werner's Associate Resource Groups, where she creates meaningful connections and makes a difference through leadership roles.

Heavy Duty Trucking's Emerging Leaders award honors young professionals who are influential, innovative and successful, who have a passion for the transportation industry and can point to outstanding accomplishments while displaying leadership qualities.

"Caty is an integral part of the Werner team who is hungry to advance her skills and loves being challenged with leadership opportunities," said Werner's Vice President of Operations, Angelo Gibson. "This well-deserved recognition showcases her dedication to Werner and the industry as a whole and we're excited to see her celebrated for her many contributions."

Candidates for the award either work for a for-hire, private, government or vocational fleet. They may be employed in any aspect of the fleet's business, such as management, maintenance, operations, marketing, safety, IT, training or elsewhere. This year's list includes individuals from sales, operations and communications.
