Nielsen Weisz Announces New Colorado Litigation Firm


Today, Nielsen Weisz LLC, a new Colorado law firm with offices in Denver and Boulder, announced two veteran attorneys, Dru Nielsen and Barrett Weisz, will join forces to offer bold, client-centered representation in criminal defense, white-collar defense, personal injury, and civil litigation. Both Dru and Barrett have over 25 years of extensive litigation experience. This new partnership will fiercely advocate to protect clients' rights and achieve results.

The partners at Nielsen Weisz have represented clients in high-profile, high-stakes litigation throughout Colorado and in federal court. With nearly 200 trials between them, Dru and Barrett have leveraged their trial experience to negotiate high-dollar settlements in civil cases, and dismissals, "no files," and favorable plea bargains in criminal cases.

Dru Nielsen and Barrett Weisz both started their careers as Colorado State Public Defenders in 1996. Lawyers and supervisors in the bustling Colorado Springs and Denver trial offices, Dru and Barrett earned invaluable courtroom, negotiation, and trial experience. Dru and Barrett tried their first felony criminal trial together in 1998. Despite seemingly insurmountable evidence, Dru and Barrett achieved an acquittal for their client.

After many years defending hundreds of clients as public defenders, Dru and Barrett moved to private practice, committed to providing the highest level of criminal defense representation. Dru has continued to focus on criminal and white-collar defense. Over the years, she has achieved "not guilty" verdicts in several high-stakes, high-profile state and federal criminal trials.
