Assent Expands C-Suite Expertise with New Leadership to Fuel Global Expansion of Supply Chain Sustainability Platform

Assent Inc. (Assent), a leading solution provider in supply chain sustainability management, is fueling its rapid growth plans with the addition of Andrew Holyome as chief information officer and Tanya Weston as general counsel. Both bring to their new roles extensive leadership experience in high-growth technology companies.

These C-Suite hires come at a pivotal time for Assent customers as they prepare for upcoming global sustainability requirements, especially the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reporting and recordkeeping requirements for PFAS under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), released Oct. 11, 2023. This regulation requires manufacturers to disclose their use of more than 1,400 PFAS chemicals, creating the risk of legal action, fines, supply chain disruptions due to parts obsolescence ? and an estimated potential cost for compliance of more than $800 million to companies.

Andrew Holyome has been promoted into the chief information officer role, previously holding the title of vice president, enterprise data, information technology and security at Assent. Before joining Assent in 2021, Andrew held pivotal technology and program leadership roles at Payments Canada, IBM, MD Financial Management, and Pythian. Andrew will be focused on elevating and centralizing Assent's enterprise architecture and data capabilities.

Tanya Weston joins as Assent's general counsel. Tanya brings deep expertise in scaling technology companies across diverse industries and companies ? including her most recent position as Associate General Counsel and Head of Commercial Services at Shopify, and prior senior legal roles at MDS Nordion and Halogen Software. Tanya will oversee Assent's legal, compliance and enterprise risk matters, as well as serve as advisor on legal and corporate strategy as Assent continues to grow and scale.

Assent's Chief Executive Officer Andrew Waitman recognized the need to further grow the leadership team by adding senior executives to support Assent's mission to transform supply chain sustainability programs for its customers.

"Tanya and Andrew are incredible additions to our leadership team; both have deep experience in scaling tech companies, enabling Assent's accelerated growth," said Waitman. "Assent works hand-in-hand with manufacturers on their journey to enhance supply chain sustainability programs, and we are proud to have the expertise in place to continue to strengthen our market leadership."
