Quantum Xchange's CipherInsights Experiences Early Success, Proving to Be a Must-Have Compliance Tool and Policy Enabler

Quantum Xchange, delivering the future of encryption with holistic cryptographic agility, visibility, and management solutions, today announced the early success and market demand for its new cryptographic discovery and risk assessment solution CipherInsights.

Since launching in June 2023, the network monitoring and encryption analyzer has experienced a steady uptick from CISOs and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) professionals looking to patch security blind spots in their network infrastructure and more easily comply with data security and privacy standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA and FISMA among others. Quantum Xchange will host an informative webinar, "How to Achieve Cryptographic Clarity and Comply with Leading Data Security and Privacy Standards," Dec. 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Heavily regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, and government are seeking technology solutions to improve an all-too-often overlooked weakness in their cybersecurity policy: how cryptography is used and managed throughout the enterprise.

While the bulk of CipherInsights prospects are government agencies and federal integrators looking to comply with House Resolution 7535, nearly half (48%) of the company's active engagements have expressed interest in CipherInsights for PCI-DSS v4 cryptographic inventory requirements or fulfilling continuous monitoring mandates through managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities. The product's continuous risk monitoring, audit, and reporting capabilities account for nearly a third of new pipeline, which includes a large portion of both cyber insurance underwriters and policy holders.

"In as little as 90 minutes, organizations can determine if their network is out of compliance with industry or government regulations," said Vince Berk, Chief Strategy Officer at Quantum Xchange. "That's actionable intelligence for today's enterprise, with the bonus of identifying quantum-vulnerable, public key encryption for eventual replacement. A technology like CipherInsights is an important first step in realizing cryptographic resiliency through policy control and management."

Deployed as a passive listener on your network, CipherInsights is delivered as a virtual appliance which connects to a packet broker or SPAN/TAP port. Unlike other scanning tools that inspect certificates and cryptographic libraries on endpoints, CipherInsights performs analysis on traffic as it passes by, identifying and classifying the encryption as negotiated by the servers and clients, both sanctioned and unsanctioned. This gives users near-immediate insights into how encryption is operating, not just how it is deployed, across their networks and presents a clear understanding of where and what type of remediation is required.
