McDonald's Restaurants in Northern California, Central California and Nevada Raised More Than $770,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters in 2023

McDonald's Owner/Operators and customers in Northern California, Central California and Reno, Nevada have donated over $770,000 dollars to support the families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Northern and Central California and the RMHC of Reno, Nevada. Funds were generated through customer-driven initiatives, contributions from owner/operators and through campaigns such as "Round-Up for RMHC" where a customer, during the course of their transaction, rounded up their total to the next dollar with proceeds being donated directly to help fulfill the mission, and also, through the Golden Arches program, where one penny per pound of fries purchased year-round is dedicated to supporting the local Ronald McDonald Houses. The unwavering dedication of McDonald's Owner/Operators across regions contributed to an impressive total of $771,188 raised in 2023 alone, benefiting four local RMHC Chapters and their programs.

"Our McDonald's Owner/Operators and crew members remain steadfast in their commitment to uplift local communities, both within and beyond our restaurant walls," affirms Courtney Escalante, a McDonald's Owner/Operator in Northern California and RMHCNC Board Member. "Having raised more than $770,000, this incredible display of generosity will significantly benefit families staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses, providing them with vital support and resources during challenging times."

"We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support we've received from our local McDonald's restaurants and their loyal customers. The funds raised are critical in helping families provide life-saving medical care for their children," says Catherine Ithurburn, CEO at Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California. "Donations like this are a gift, as they provide additional comfort and support for our families."

Supporting local McDonald's events throughout the year and donating spare change when ordering a side of McDonald's fries can make a huge difference for local Ronald McDonald House Charities that provide a home for families of seriously ill children seeking treatment at area hospitals. There are four Ronald McDonald House® programs in the region, providing temporary lodging, transportation, meals, and social services to families who travel to the area for pediatric care.
