Triangle High School Hockey League Announces Inaugural Season

It is with great pleasure that the Triangle High School Hockey League (THSHL) announces its inaugural season. High school hockey has been a longstanding dream for student athletes in the Triangle area; thanks to the explosive growth of youth hockey across North Carolina, that dream is about to become reality.

The THSHL season will run from March 15 to early June, with a championship playoff game to end the season. Games will be held at Invisalign Arena in Morrisville and Polar Ice Wake Forest.

"This was a dream started by a few students and me last year," said THSHL President Steven Ismaili. "We started with one single game, and it has ballooned into 18 teams and hundreds of participating student athletes. With the support of all of the local hockey organizations, local rink owners and managers, sponsors, and volunteers we were able to finally make this dream a reality!"

The highlight of his season was winning the state championship and earning a trip to Dallas for the upcoming USA Hockey National Championship tournament.
