PITTSBURGH, May 21, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a professional truck driver, and I wanted to create a prevention system to keep the trailer air brakes from being released until there is 100-percent confirmation of coupling between the fifth-wheel and king pin," said an inventor, from Seminole, Texas, "so I invented the FIFTH WHEEL FLUID LOCK SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD. My design eliminates guesswork, and it would avoid serious safety hazards."

The invention provides a simple visual indicator to ensure proper tractor-trailer connection at the fifth-wheel. In doing so, it would keep the trailer brakes locked until the fifth-wheel connection is locked to prevent the heavy trailer from moving. As a result, it increases safety and peace of mind. The invention features an automatic design that is easy to employ so it is ideal for fifth-wheel manufacturers, trucking companies and professional truck drivers.
